Marc Mennigmann This is a beautiful record. Wonderful tunes, great players and a nice atmosphere. I like the funky stuff most, as they really groove deep, anyway this is just my personal taste. This album is full of nice moments - be prepared... ;-) Favorite track: Santoor feat. Morgan Ågren & Mats Öberg.

about

How did he do Elliot Elliot to get to play with so many of Sweden's finest musicians?
Mats Öberg (Frank Zappa, Mats/Morgan Band) has the answer;
"It's good music!".

From massive funk in the opening track Doer Dreamer with, among others, Mats Öberg on distorted Hammond organ, Roy Ayers words about love, pianist Daniel Tilling (Rigmor Gustavsson, Svante Thuresson, Victoria Tolstoy) and Morgan Ågren (Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Fläskkvartetten) on drums to a solo church organ in the song Stadsbiblioteket, written for his best friend's funeral.

Other musicians on the album are: Peter Asplund (Kent, Bo Kapers Orkester) heard in jazz song Vardagsfeber. Luciano Mosetti (Monica Zetterlund, Ted Gärdestad) on harmonica together with Ola Bengtsson (Esbjörn Svensson, Peps Blodsband, Georg Riedel) on guitar in the brazilian flavoured Bossavapen.

"I'm a sucker for melodies, it sounds in my music. It is also one of the reasons that I listen to so much Brazilian music", says Elliot Elliot.

The album's title, Yeah Low, summarizes the span between energy and tranquility.
Hope is the feeling that remains after having listened to album that ends with the title track Yeah Low!. In that song the Brazilians singer Denise Fontoura (Manu Chao) glows and sparkle, when she sings over a large choir and a huge percussion group.
